This is one application where you always know that conditions are going to be bad and that personnel are going to be moving quickly. Explosions and flying debris can cause temporary inattention resulting in slips or falls. However knowing that the TRAM system is not going to allow you to drop off your height working level gives you and your mates confidence in achieving your goals.
In this application, the TRAM system was installed on a telescoping platform at an elevation of 15m for which no other practicable height safety control could be found. A solution was developed using a mechanism that allows the rail to slide through the TRAM unit with the platform extended, leaving the TRAM unit in position for the worker to use once the platform is in the desired position.
In this application, a gantry was designed and constructed to incorporate a TRAM fixed rail system. The gantry includes cantilevered walkways to allow access from the gantry to the top of tankers of various heights. The worker connects to the overhead TRAM system which then provides total fall protection from tankers of any length.
In this application, a Tram system was designed and constructed in order to span the existing network of bulk holding tanks with considerations given to extending this overhead walkway in the future. Inspection and servicing of any area is easily achievable and gives total confidence to workmen.
Recently installed on two New South Wales Fire Brigade command buses were TRAM systems.
This was to enable access to electronic systems for repairs and maintenance.This opens the door to installing TRAMs onto Motor Homes.
TRAM Australia Pacific have developed and installed a Total Restraint Systemsfor application to Abattoir Beef Kill Floor Platforms. ( see attached Meatworks photo).. The Scope of Work for these applications was as follows;
To design, fabricate and supply appropriate Risk Controls; i.e. Total Restraint Access Systems for the Beef Kill Floors and Elevated Work Areas. It is mandatory that whatever system is to be implemented that operators can efficiently carry out their tasks with minimal operational changes and hindrance from the application of the safety system. We have achieved this with the following designed system.
To install a single Horizontal Lifeline system complete with Restraint Belts to each application that requires an appropriate risk control implemented. The systems will be installed onto the existing structures. This will allow operators to perform their required task whilst being under "Total Restraint".

TRAM Australia's success comes from working alongside organisations in a range of industries to analyse fall hazards - then developing, designing and manufacturing solutions to overcome them.
